Sasandu
A three-way floorstander built around the Satori® Beryllium TW29BN tweeter and Satori® Egyptian Papyrus midrange and woofers. The inclined cabinet is designed for time alignment, the faceted baffle and tweeter position for reduced diffraction, and the midrange sits in its own sealed chamber.
3-way floor-standing speaker with Satori® Beryllium tweeters and dual Satori® Egyptian Papyrus drivers.

Reviews
"I would have thought that the SASANDU would just multiply my experience with the Ara BE tenfold. This is not the case as the SASANDU carries its own sound signature albeit using similar drivers as Ara BE. The whole cabinet design somehow gave a different perspective and listening experience to me in my system. "

Schematics
A slanted baffle for time coherence, and a separate internal chamber that keeps the midrange sealed away from the bass. Six cabinet finishes — satin or high gloss in white and black, high gloss in red or orange — and magnetic grilles come with them.

SB Acoustics was formed to bring an alternative to the high-end transducer market. Marrying the design talents of Danesian Audio (Denmark), a company filled with industry veterans, responsible for many well known and revolutionary designs, and manufacturing expert Sinar Baja Electric (Indonesia), a vertically integrated company with more than 40 years of transducer manufacturing experience.
Tweeter — One Satori TW29BN-B-8 per cabinet
A 29 mm beryllium dome on a high-saturation neodymium motor with a T-shaped pole piece. SB Acoustics’ own summary of why beryllium: “beryllium dome for non-resonant high frequency extension”.
The engineering around the dome is where the rest of the money goes — a two-part aluminium faceplate with mechanical decoupling built in, dual balanced compression chambers behind the dome, dual copper caps in the gap to hold inductance down, a CCAW voice coil for low moving mass, and silver lead wires.
Midrange — One 6.5″ Satori MR16P-4 per cabinet
The same Papyrus cone material as the woofers below it, on a 35.5 mm coil and a neodymium motor, but drawn for the band that carries voices and given its own sealed chamber in the cabinet.

92 dB sensitivity and a Qts of 0.25: a light, tightly controlled cone with 6.2 mm of linear travel that a midrange will almost never call on.
Woofers — Two 7.5″ Satori MW19P-8 per cabinet
A 39 mm voice coil under a black Egyptian Papyrus cone, on a neodymium motor and a cast aluminium chassis. Papyrus is SB Acoustics’ own natural-fibre cone material, pressed in-house at Surabaya, and it is what gives the cone its speckled surface.

An Fs of 32 Hz with a Qts of 0.33 and 48 litres of Vas is a driver drawn for a reflex box, and SB Acoustics’ own suggested tuning for it is 32 Hz.
The cabinets arrive finished
Every cabinet in the photographs on this page is what turns up on the pallet. They are cut, assembled and finished at the same works that makes the drivers, on the same machines, to the same tolerances — so the job in front of you is the acoustics: mount the drivers, wire the crossover, fit the damping.
Six finishes are drawn up for the Sasandu: white satin, white high gloss, black satin, black high gloss, red high gloss and orange high gloss. Magnetic grilles are part of the set, and the set covers two cabinets.
Tell us which finish you want when you enquire and we will confirm it against the current factory list before anything is ordered.
